AltoSignal

Keeping up to date

Update AltoSignal.

Most screens update themselves. If one is behind, open the store it was installed from and take the update there. Nothing is lost: your board, channels, rooms and quick replies live on your account, not on the device.

Version 4.3 is live on every platform. The browser app, the Mac and Linux downloads below, the App Store, Google Play, the Amazon Appstore and the Microsoft Store all carry it. New in 4.3: set up in a sentence, your floor plan from a photo, Activity at a glance for owners, and a simpler Setup with a box that answers how to do something. New in 4.2.1: room cards you can run the day from, timers on rooms, and a waiting room that empties itself when the nurse answers On My Way. New in 4.2: the floor plan follows the pages, so answering On My Way moves you to that room on every screen. New in 4.1: Who’s in today, history beside any view, one tap to tell someone where to go, and starter buttons that set up the whole office. New in 4.0: the floor plan, take a number, timers on states, and five views of the main screen. A screen on an earlier version keeps paging normally alongside updated ones until it takes the update.

If a screen keeps falling behind

Automatic updates are the normal case, and they are per device rather than per account, so one tablet can sit on an older build for weeks while the rest of the practice moves on. The usual causes are a device that is rarely on wifi, a store account signed out on that tablet, or automatic updates turned off for it.

An out-of-date screen keeps paging normally, so there is no rush and nothing to fix in an emergency. If one will not update at all, tell us and we will look at it with you.
